Paul's Cafe sits conveniently inside Guildford's bus station, making it a practical stop for anyone needing a solid meal before or after travel. This cafe blends the straightforward vibe of an old-fashioned local eatery with the buzz of daily commuters and town locals seeking a hearty, no-fuss breakfast or lunch.

The atmosphere here echoes memories of traditional English cafes from earlier decades, with a homey feel that comes from both the layout and the warmly polite staff behind the counter. Many visitors mention the friendly energy of the owner, adding a welcoming touch that fits well with the steady flow of people grabbing a quick bite.

Menu highlights like the English Breakfast, Big Breakfast, and Filet Chicken Burger with chips cater well to those wanting a well-portioned meal that fills you up without pushing the budget. Paul's Cafe is especially appreciated for breakfast, with locals stopping by regularly to enjoy freshly brewed coffee or quality tea alongside familiar, classic dishes like toast and jam or a comforting pot pie.

This is a spot where timing matters: mornings and early afternoons are busiest, bustling with travelers and workers fueling up for the day ahead. Despite the steady traffic, food arrives promptly, underlining the efficiency you'd want from a cafe within a transport hub. For anyone in Guildford who values familiar flavors served with a no-nonsense attitude and a welcoming smile, Paul's Cafe offers a reliable, grounded experience.

We go to Paul's cafe on a regular basis for breakfast . The food is always very good with a wide range of choice. Coffee is delicious as is the tea and everything is very good value. The staff are very polite and always friendly. Highly recommend if you are in town.

Really great food, the owner is very friendly (and very muscular!) and the cafe has the atmosphere of nice homely food places I remember from my childhood in the 00s. I will come again !!

Working nearby myself and my colleague doing this little gem at the bus station. Great food at sensible prices. The owner is a friendly guy and even remembered how I have my coffee from the previous day! Highly recommend.
